Petitioner Dan Steiner told the commission one building is already built and a unit has sold; he said his financing is in place and he plans to start two more buildings after water meters and taps are installed. "I've got all my financing set up. I'm gonna start 2 more buildings as soon as I get approval on this," Steiner said, adding that he plans full basements on future buildings and is considering a pool and a pickleball court to attract buyers.
After a motion and second, the commission approved the final plat by voice vote. During the public-comment prompt the petitioner added context about additional homes he is building north of La Porte and said city leadership is supportive of the projects.
