The Lima City Council adopted Resolution 15-25 on its first reading to honor Abe Ambrosio for his service as executive director of the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center.
The resolution, read into the record by council staff, recaps Ambrosio’s tenure beginning in April 2016 and credits him with strengthening the center’s role in arts, culture and community engagement, forging a partnership with the Honeywell Foundation and taking on booking responsibilities for the Pango Pavilion and amphitheater downtown. Councilor Nipper moved to adopt the resolution and the motion passed on a 7–0 vote.
Councilors offered personal remarks after the vote, thanking Ambrosio for his leadership, hospitality at events and steady presence at civic gatherings. At the podium, the honoree accepted the recognition and thanked the council and community for their support during his decade of service.
The resolution notes Ambrosio will conclude his service on Oct. 31, 2025. No further action was taken; the resolution is honorary.
