The Goodhue County Board on March 3 approved the consent agenda as amended, which included sale of obsolete items, sale of items from the Sheriff's Office, a Consumption & Display permit renewal, a list of county vehicles for sale, an out-of-state travel request for Health and Human Services, appointment of Flinton Stehr to the Planning Advisory Commission, approval of an LELS 46 contract, designation of staff for USDA Authorized Representative Request, and the Teamsters employee union contract. The amendment adding the Teamsters contract was made by Administrator Scott O. Arneson and accepted into the agenda.
County staff also presented the 2026 Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) program agreements and contracts and the board approved the annual contracts to administer the county AIS program and plan. Finance Director Lucas Dahling congratulated staff for receiving the 2024 GFOA Certificate of Achievement.
The board approved county claims in the total amount of $876,343.07. Line items recorded in the motion included: 01-General Revenue $417,949.87; 03-Public Works $171,864.85; 11-Human Service Fund $87,647.25; 12-GC Family Services Collaborative $13.00; 25-EDA $2,947.66; 34-Capital Equipment $50,208.92; 61-Waste Management $5,947.66; 72-Other Agency Funds $139,773.55. All motions in the meeting were carried unanimously (5-0).
