Tony, the city clerk, reported that the interview panel recommended appointing Gwendolyn Veil to the Citizen Complaint Review Board for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027, and confirmed that an appropriate background check had been completed. Council agreed to place the appointment on Monday’s agenda for formal action and staff said they continue to accept additional applicants.
Later in the session, Council moved and seconded a motion to enter executive session to consider the purchase of property for public purposes. The motion passed on a recorded voice vote (9–0), and council entered executive session at 6:42 p.m. The council reconvened at 7:46 p.m. and reported that no action had been taken during the executive session.
The clerk read the roll during the recorded motion vote, and Mayor presided over the meeting; council recorded the motion as carrying 9–0.
