Rogers said both applicants were referred through the Citizens Academy, completed interviews and background checks, and that staff recommends council action on the appointments during the Monday meeting.
Councilmembers expressed support for the Citizens Academy process and the new volunteers; no objections were raised during the work session and the appointment recommendations will be on the Monday agenda for formal council action.
Rogers noted the city has been working to staff boards and commissions and that the appointments will fill existing vacancies on the review board.
