Butler County board approves permits, licenses, library project and schedules rezoning hearing

The Butler County Board of Supervisors handled a slate of routine but consequential items at its March 10 meeting, approving project proposals, licenses and permits and setting a future public hearing on a rezoning request.
The board approved the Leslyee’s Library project by motion (Dralle moved, Eddy second). It also approved the U.S. Board on Geographic Names recommendation to name Dilly Creek. The board granted Class C Retail Alcohol License renewals for CARD, Inc. and Round Grove Golf & Country Club and approved a new Class C application for Beaver Meadows Golf & Country Club.
Multiple utility permits for Butler County REC — including new overhead lines along 120th Street west of Douglas Avenue, along Douglas Avenue north of 120th Street, and near addresses on 300th Street — were approved, as was a Bore 3 phase permit under Packard Avenue near 160th Street. The board also approved a Black Hills Energy permit to install a 1-inch service line at 27793 Hickory Avenue.
County Engineer John Riherd said he is investigating an easement on a level B road related to a request from Terry Bartels. The board approved claims, acknowledged receipt of Manure Management Plan short-form annual updates for NOELCK 3 WEST (#59028) and NOELCK 1 – EAST (#61371), and adjourned to the next regular meeting on March 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
