The Peabody Conservation Commission discussed a continued enforcement order on Feb. 11 for alleged unauthorized fill and grading at 26 Trask Road (Map 61 Lot 13), attributing the work to Daniel Botello and Jocelyn Goncalves.
Chair read the allegation: roughly 9–10 truckloads of fill had been brought into bordering vegetated wetlands, altering an estimated 2,000–4,000 square feet, with grade changes of about 2–3 feet and removal of vegetation without a permit. Nicole Ferrara of LEC told the commission the contractor began work but paused because of heavy snow; LEC documented progress with photos and reported that about one‑quarter of the planned work had been completed before the pause. Ferrara said the native soil was intercepted under the fill and that the contractor is prepared to resume once conditions permit.
Commissioners had no additional immediate questions and invited public comment; none was offered. The commission voted to continue the enforcement order to the next meeting so staff and LEC can maintain documentation, and so the commission can follow up when the site is accessible. The motion to continue passed unanimously by roll call.
