Hooker County commissioners approve claims, treasurer's report; set March tax sale and agenda items

The Hooker County Board of Commissioners audited claims on file and authorized issuance of warrants from county funds on Feb. 12, 2026 (motion by Crisp; second by Kraye; roll call three ayes). The meeting record includes a detailed list of approved claims across general, road, library and other county funds.
Crystal Hardy presented the treasurer's report; Chairman Bryan Crisp moved to approve the report, Kraye seconded and the motion passed by unanimous roll call. Hardy also provided the delinquent and special assessment tax list and stated the county tax sale is scheduled for March 2, 2026.
Clerk Jessica Hampton told the board that Consolidated had removed the 911 circuitry and that the state has changed the reporting method; Hampton provided an assessment report to the commissioners. The board reviewed the library budget worksheet. Hampton said the county Personnel Policy will be on the March agenda.
The board recessed at 3:45 p.m. for a Board of Equalization hearing and reconvened at 3:47 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 5:05 p.m.
