The Grove City Planning Commission recommended that City Council approve a special use permit enabling outdoor seating at 3131 Broadway for a restaurant operator.
Gabriel Sudhai, the property manager, described plans for roughly 950 square feet of seating on the side and front of the existing building, protected by a 4‑foot decorative wood fence with stone pillars and impact bollards adjacent to parking. "We appreciate your guys' time and consideration," Sudhai told commissioners.
City development staff said the application meets applicable special use permit standards in Grove City’s 2050 guiding principles and recommended forwarding the application to council. Commissioners expressed support, noting the restaurant is a community asset and that outdoor seating is consistent with the commercial character of the corridor.
A motion to recommend approval was made, seconded and carried by roll call. The Planning Commission referred the item to City Council for final action.
