Grove City swears in new deputy clerk of council, Cheyenne Autumn Young

At the start of the meeting the council paused for a brief ceremony to swear in Cheyenne Autumn Young as Deputy Clerk of Council. President invited Young and her family forward; Young repeated the oath and was welcomed by council and staff. The president explained the new deputy position will work alongside Kelly, the Clerk of Council, to broaden office coverage for public inquiries and records requests.
Young introduced her daughter and son and the council took group photos. Council members offered a brief welcome and noted the city now has two staff available in the clerk’s office.
