Council member Burrows presented Ordinance C‑46‑25 to accept the plat for Courtyards at Harris Farms Phase 1, a 25.41‑acre subdivision that creates lots 104 through 174 and reserves A1–F, and establishes a public right‑of‑way for the Hawthorne Parkway extension. Developer representative Kelly Fankhauser said she was present to answer council questions; none were raised that night.
Burrows moved approval and the ordinance advanced as a second reading in public hearing where required. Burrows also introduced Ordinance C‑48‑25, a separate first reading to annex about 46.904 acres at 4910 Hoover Road in Jackson Township; that annexation is scheduled for a second reading/public hearing on Dec. 5.
The council recorded the vote on the plat approval and proceeded to routine business. The planning action creates 75 single‑family homes on private streets and several reserves, including land reserved for private streets and other infrastructure. The motion to accept the plat was made and seconded in council.
