Rawlins County board approves bridge‑program agreement and authorizes truck repairs; Pine Branch offer deferred

Commissioner Lincoln Pochop moved to authorize repair of the green Peterbilt at Redneck Repair; Commissioner Alan A. Solko seconded and the motion carried. Commissioners also approved Project No. 77‑C‑5388‑01 under the Kansas Local Bridge Improvement Program on a motion by Commissioner Mark Mosley, seconded by Commissioner Pochop.
The board approved minutes from Feb. 2, 2026, and signed abatement paperwork presented by County Appraiser Alicia Baumfalk. Diana Skiles of Pine Branch Real Estate told the board the current cash offer to buy county property remains $25,000 with a proposed closing date of March 31, 2026; commissioners asked to review the contract and deferred action to the March 2 meeting. Commissioner Mosley also approved signing a KDHE financial assurance letter for the county landfill prepared by Lindburg Vogel Pierce Faris Chartered.
