Across its February 2026 regular meetings the Pondera County Board of Commissioners approved a series of administrative items including procurement contracts, equipment purchases, an encroachment agreement and appointments.
Key approvals included: renewal(s) of the Square 9 GlobalSearch C2 cloud storage contract (two contract amounts appear in successive meeting entries: $4,193.30 on Feb. 4 and a three-year renewal for $12,618.49 on Feb. 11 to replace the prior contract); a server refresh for the county Health Department for $13,655.99 and purchase of 12 computers with Microsoft Office for $25,688.00 (Digital Image Systems); an overhead door for the Conrad Road/Bridge shop for $4,345.00 (Conrad Building Center); and two snowplow edges for the Road/Bridge Department for $5,898.32.
The board approved an Encroachment Agreement for Gary and Marcia Bryers for an approach and culvert on Sam George Road, and declared two Rural Fire District trustee candidates (Bill Breding and Shawn Vermulm) elected by acclamation under state statute when the number of candidates did not exceed available seats.
Health Department Coordinator Amy Shaw received approval to attend the National Association of County and City Health Officials conference in Washington, D.C., Feb. 23–26, 2026, under an all-expenses-paid scholarship. The board also authorized a $5,000 letter of commitment to the Northern Transit Interlocal for the upcoming fiscal year.
Commissioner motions and seconding patterns are recorded throughout the minutes (most routinely moved by Commissioner Thomas A. Kuka and seconded by Commissioner Zane Drishinski); the minutes generally record motions as carried without detailed roll-call vote breakdown except where a 3–0 vote is explicitly noted.
Next steps: departments will coordinate procurement fulfillment and any contract administration; the Clerk & Recorder will process appointment documentation and travel authorization records.
