Pacific County awards HVAC contract for Public Safety Building to Bockers Heating and Cooling

Staff member (Speaker 5) told the board Bockers (based in Long Beach) had been the low bidder among seven proposals and has prior experience on county sites. "They were the low bid on this," the staff member said, adding bids ranged up to about $89,000. The staff member said Bockers could likely start the work in the second week of December and has performed work at the Public Safety Building and other county facilities.
The board approved the award to move forward with the replacement work and briefed that the contract covers labor, materials, permits and taxes. Commissioners noted the wide spread in bid amounts and thanked staff for their work evaluating proposals.
