PONDERA COUNTY, Mont. — The Pondera County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 7 adopted Resolution #14 (2025/26) establishing travel reimbursement rates for county employees during calendar year 2026.
The resolution sets the mileage allotment to mirror Internal Revenue Service guidance: 72.5 cents per mile for the first 1,000 miles in each calendar month and 69.5 cents per mile for mileage over 1,000 miles. It also sets in-state lodging reimbursement at $110 plus tax for most communities and lists specific high-cost communities that are excluded from that standard rate.
Per-diem meal rates were set at $11.20 for morning, $13.30 for mid-day and $19.61 for evening in-state, totaling $44.11 (out-of-state total $63.00). The resolution passed on a 3–0 vote.
