Furthermore, I approve I move to approve to advertise for the position of county auditor," and another commissioner seconded the motion. The chair called for any comments before the vote.
A staff member speaking on behalf of county staff praised Jareau’s leadership and contributions, saying the auditor "gave us amazing leadership" and that staff wanted her to know they "love her" and wish her well. Commissioners also offered brief remarks thanking Jareau for her service and wishing her the best.
The board recorded three "aye" votes and the chair announced the motion carried. The board did not record any no votes, abstentions, or a published roll-call list of individual votes in the transcript; the motion’s approval authorizes county staff to post and advertise the vacant county auditor position.
