Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to hire Angie Horton to fill the Domestic Relations union position of Enforcement Officer 1, effective Jan. 26, 2026; the Salary Board set her pay consistent with the collective bargaining agreement. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to adopt the county's 2026 pay scale and to revise the Human Resources Manual (Section 212) to clarify the employee health‑insurance opt‑out payment. The revised language caps the opt‑out payment at $1,020 per calendar year ($85 per month), pro‑rated for the portion of the year waived and paid with the final payroll in December or upon resignation; employees must leave in good standing to receive the payment. Both measures passed unanimously.
The commissioners approved accounts payable dated Jan. 13, 2026 totaling $135,622.38, which the minutes break down as: General Fund $66,644.09; SFC Technology Grant $92.22; 911 $3,874.57; Domestic Relations $291.06; Capital Projects $64,720.44.
