Resident asks council to delay 28th Street item pending FOIA records; another resident offers volunteer cybercrime team

Two public commenters used their three-minute allotments to raise distinct concerns. Resident Bill Trinka said he has pursued records for months to learn whether a 28th Street closure was a statutory requirement or merely a consideration, and that despite multiple FOIA requests he had received no documentation and was billed $425.94 for records. Trinka asked council to "table that motion for tomorrow" until the documentation he requested is provided and reviewed. City staff told him to follow up directly with the city manager.
Separately, Anastasia Colas urged the council to support formation of a volunteer cybercrime response group to help locals report and document online crimes. Colas said she brought three resumes and more than 75 signatures and reported she had a recording showing a cybercrime reported to police that did not receive follow-up. She offered to volunteer and to station qualified professionals at the library to assist residents in reporting incidents.
