Festival of the Arts Boca executive director Joanna Marie Kaye thanked the council and gave a rundown of the festival's 2025 results and plans for year 20.
"In 2025, we welcomed over 6,700 attendees who spent $260,048 locally," Kaye told the council, saying the figure comes from the Americans for the Arts and reflects spending outside of tickets. She added ticket sales exceeded $213,000 and that the festival's total economic impact was more than $1.2 million.
Kaye highlighted programmatic successes—student performers from local high schools, a Pavarotti Voices Opera Gala, a world premiere work, and public outdoor events—and said next year will mark the festival's 20th anniversary with returning artists and early headliners already planned.
Kaye also asked the council to support continued bed‑tax funding for arts and culture to preserve grants from the county tourism development council that help underwrite the festival. The council thanked Kaye and asked staff to stay in touch as planning for the centennial and festival continues.
Next steps: festival organizers will continue planning for the 20th anniversary and coordinate with city staff on logistics and funding.
