Fulton County approves HAVA-funded keycard and camera upgrades for election offices

Fulton County commissioners voted Dec. 9 to use the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant to install a keycard fob at the Voter Registration/Election Office door and add separate cameras above both the Commissioners' Office door and the Voter Registration/Election Office door.
Voter Registration/Election Director Linda Doyle presented the request to the board and indicated the work would be funded by the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve a TelePlus quote for the keycard fob installation and to authorize Elect IT to install the additional cameras; the motion passed unanimously.
Rick Grissinger of Elect IT was identified as the installer for the cameras. The board recorded the grant-funded security upgrade amount as $3,000.00. No dissenting votes were recorded.
The action was taken amid a routine agenda that included payroll and payables approval and other contract and personnel matters. The commissioners did not set additional public hearings or implementation deadlines during the meeting.
