One resident asked for paving on Apple Street; another described a home in need of repairs and asked about homeowner grant opportunities. A resident said S. Park Avenue, near the funeral home, needs road repairs. Several people from the Phillipsburg neighborhood urged the county to fund a community park and raised continued concerns about flooding; they referenced a prior CDBG project in Phillipsburg that addressed street and drainage issues and said they were satisfied with that work. A resident reported a sinkhole on GC Hill Road and asked for immediate remediation.
Rowley told attendees that the DCA website contains application information and that certain funds may be available for hurricane relief and related repairs; she also shared a QR code linking to an online survey for residents to identify priorities. Staff did not present a formal motion or seek a vote at the hearing; the meeting was informational and intended to gather public comments to shape a possible pre-application.
