Following executive session, Mayor Tim McCallum moved to appoint Dr. Catherine Castillo to the Board of Adjustments to fill an expired term, promote Carrie Shepherd from alternate to a regular member through August 2027 and appoint Karen Williams as an alternate through August 2026. Councilwoman Campbell seconded; the motion passed unanimously of those present.
Council then approved the consent agenda (items 1–11) by motion and second. Staff read three ordinances as part of the consent items: an amendment to the Unified Development Code to allow a special-use permit for a restaurant under defined conditions, a rezoning and planned-development text amendment affecting a Boydston addition tract, and amendments to municipal code sections on sewers and sewage disposal, each providing a penalty of up to $2,000 per offense and standard severability and effective-date language. Council approved the ordinances and the consent agenda unanimously of those present.
The mayor noted that Councilmember Mueller was absent and that there were no further actions arising from executive session. The council then moved on to action items later on the agenda.
