Pacific County adopts updated discrimination, harassment and inappropriate conduct policy

On Oct. 28 Pacific County commissioners approved an update to the county policy manual to adopt a revised "discrimination, harassment, and inappropriate conduct" policy, rescinding prior conflicting resolutions.
Marie (speaker 6), who reviewed the policy and coordinated legal review, told the board the prior policy was about 13 years old and that the sheriff’s office prosecutor's office and county administrative officer had reviewed the updated language. She urged department directors and elected officials to have employees review and either initial or sign acknowledgement of the policy.
The motion to adopt Resolution 2025‑060 passed unanimously. The board asked department heads to ensure employees receive and acknowledge the updated policy.
