Anaconda Deer Lodge County commissioners approve minutes, claims and 2025 meeting calendar

The Anaconda Deer Lodge County Commission met Dec. 17, 2024, and unanimously approved minutes from the Dec. 3 commission meeting and the Dec. 10 work session. Chair opened the meeting and called for approval; Commissioner Bogette moved to accept the minutes and the motion passed without objection.
The commission next authorized payment of claims numbered 146421 through 146519, totaling $279,253.67. A motion to authorize the payments was moved and seconded and carried unanimously.
Commissioners also adopted two resolutions affecting 2025 operations. Resolution 24‑25, establishing commission meeting dates for calendar year 2025, passed unanimously after a motion and second. The commission then approved Resolution 24‑26, which designates county holidays for 2025.
On a separate item, the commission granted the Urban Wildlife Management Task Force an extension to file its required report until Feb. 28, 2025. Staff noted the ordinance that created the task force allows the group to request additional time when needed; the commission approved the extension by motion.
The meeting closed after routine miscellaneous reports and a review of upcoming calendar items, including a special work session Dec. 30 and a regular meeting Jan. 7, 2025.
