The City/County Planning Board met in Council Chambers on Jan. 21, 2026, and elected Richard Klose president and retained Jonathan Klasna as vice president by unanimous votes. County Chair Judy Goldsby called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Richard Herr moved to approve the board’s Dec. 18, 2025 minutes; Jonathan Klasna seconded. There was no public comment and the motion to approve the minutes passed 7-0. During nominations for board leadership, Herr moved to nominate Richard Klose as president; Tom Canape seconded. The motion to elect Klose passed 7-0.
For vice president, Richard Klose nominated Tom Canape while Ron Benner nominated Jonathan Klasna to remain in the post. Klasna accepted the nomination, and after a motion to retain him — seconded by Canape — the board voted 7-0 to keep Jonathan Klasna as vice president.
The routine votes were conducted without public comment. The board set its next meeting for Feb. 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
