Council approves 32‑day extension for North Lift Station project

Philip Bowman, representing the wastewater division, said the original award and an earlier change order leave the contract value at just over $906,000. The newly approved change order extends the substantial completion date to March 27, 2026 and the final completion date to April 24, 2026. Bowman said the extension and the justification for it were discussed at the January 27 work session and that no changes to the proposed extension time have been made since.
A council member moved approval of the change order; the motion was seconded and the council voted to carry it. Council members offered no questions during the meeting and the city will proceed under the revised schedule.
Next steps: the contractor will continue work under the amended schedule; staff will oversee completion and report back if further adjustments are needed.
