Boca Raton CRA to add two dedicated traffic enforcement officers after downtown stops spike

"Last week, between Tuesday and Friday, there were 76 traffic stops specifically in the downtown," CRA Director Mr. Brown reported during the director's update. He said the CRA will add two dedicated traffic enforcement officers: one position has been reallocated and will be filled as soon as possible, and a second officer will be included in the October budget.
Brown said the additional officers will be assigned strictly to traffic and pedestrian safety enforcement in the CRA area and that funding will come from the CRA. He noted current staffing levels: "Currently, we have how many, officers in the CRA?" and the response in the meeting was that there are six officers now; the two new positions will increase that complement.
