The City of Cody council approved multiple ordinances and routine business during the meeting, including consent-calendar approvals and two third-reading ordinances.
After debate on public-notice language, the council also approved an ordinance amending conditional-use notice procedures to add a posted sign and a 21-day publication requirement. A separate code amendment aligning protest-trigger thresholds with the council’s notice changes was amended to reflect the same 140-foot radius and approved on second reading.
On third reading the council approved Ordinance 2025-36 (final plat amendment) after no questions were raised, and later approved Ordinance 2020-537 on third reading with one recorded nay. The consent calendar, including earlier procedural approvals and a fueling-station item noted by staff, passed at the start of the meeting.
Council members used the matters-from-council portion of the agenda to thank participants for a civil discussion; one council member apologized to a public commenter for an earlier remark. The mayor adjourned the meeting after brief staff and member remarks.
