County approves BFJRA bylaws changes and appoints Craig Cutchall to authority board

Representatives from the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority asked the Fulton County commissioners Dec. 30 to approve two amendments to the authority's articles of incorporation and to confirm a board appointment.
Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod presented the requests. Commissioners approved Resolution 9 of 2025, which amends the authority's articles to increase the number of board members, and Resolution 10 of 2025, which authorizes the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority to appoint police officers who would have the same rights as other Commonwealth police officers with respect to authority property. Both resolutions were approved unanimously.
Following passage of the resolutions, Commissioners appointed Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority; his term is recorded as expiring Jan. 3, 2027. The motions were moved by Commissioner Steven L. Wible and recorded as having been approved with all in favor.
The approvals were recorded as routine consent of the board; no public comment or dissent on the measures appears in the meeting record.
