The council approved a new bar-and-grill liquor license for Rancho Chico Mexican Food Cantina, located at 1219 Sheridan Avenue. Staff said the applicant had filed all required documentation; the applicant told council they planned to remove a barrier at the bar to add seating and serve over the bar. Council moved and approved the license on a voice vote with no public opposition recorded.
Earlier in the meeting the council presented a proclamation recognizing Cindy Baker for 25 years of service as city clerk and extended appreciation for her retirement. Later the council approved Resolution 2026-01 removing Cindy Baker as an authorized signer on all City of Cody bank and depository accounts effective Jan. 6, 2026, as the city updated signatory authority.
The meeting also included housekeeping items related to required conflict-of-interest disclosures for council and staff.
