Fulton County commissioners approve minutes, payables, appointments and personnel actions

At its Dec. 16, 2025 meeting the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved routine administrative business including minutes, payables, appointments and personnel actions.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting minutes and the Dec. 9, 2025 Retirement Board minutes; both motions passed unanimously. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025 totaling $281,921.91. The minutes list the General Fund portion as $214,588.09 and show other fund entries including Fund 276 (Opioid Settlement Funds) with $46,105.21.
The board met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress on department matters. Commissioner Hann moved to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Monday, Dec. 8, 2025; the motion carried unanimously. Hann also moved to authorize advertising for an "Enforcement Officer 1" in the Domestic Relations Department and to post the vacancy both internally and externally; that motion passed.
Other actions recorded in the minutes included a retroactive approval of a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal order for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48 (motion by Commissioner Wible); approval of a Sheriff's Department request to provide physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility (motion by Commissioner Bunch); and the appointment of Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2027 (motion by Commissioner Bunch).
Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board for two-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2027; those reappointments were approved unanimously. The board also approved the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates for public advertisement in the Fulton County Newspaper.
The minutes record two brief executive sessions for personnel matters (entered and exited by motion of Commissioner Bunch) and note that a DCED financial monitoring interview scheduled for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled by DCED, which requested to meet with SEDA COG and the Chief Clerk instead. The meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
