Fulton County approves HAVA-funded security upgrades for elections office

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Dec. 9 to use funds from the 2024 HAVA Elections Security Grant to pay for security upgrades at the county’s Voter Registration/Election Office. The approved work includes a TelePlus keycard fob installation and additional cameras above doors to the Commissioners’ Office and the Voter Registration/Election Office.
Voter Registration/Election Director Linda Doyle briefed the commissioners on the TelePlus quote and the scope of the proposed hardware. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the TelePlus quote and the use of HAVA grant funds; the motion passed with all commissioners in favor.
Rick Grissinger of Elect IT is scheduled to install separate cameras at the Commissioners’ Office door and the Voter Registration/Election Office door. The board recorded the approved amount for this HAVA-funded work as $3,000.
