Alpena County committee approves five-year Peninsula Fiber Network agreement for backup 911 service

The committee recommended approval of the five-year service agreement and directed staff to execute the contract as presented. The action is intended to improve redundancy for critical 911 communications and reduce ongoing costs; IT staff will proceed with implementation and coordinate any required configuration with Central Dispatch.
