County attorney: contractor agreed to pay for D & 14 bridge repairs; bid letting to start

Roads Lead Supervisor Brian Briley told the Otoe County Board of Commissioners on March 10 that the department is preparing for repair work on the bridge at D & 14.
County Attorney Jenniffer Panko-Rahe said the company has agreed to a monetary amount for fixing the bridge and that she expects a signed agreement by the board’s next meeting. Briley said he will begin the bid letting process for the project once the agreement is finalized.
No vote or formal action was recorded on the bridge at the March 10 session. The minutes record that Dakota Schulenberg of Cooper Nuclear was not present for the meeting and that there was no public comment on the item.
The board adjourned at 8:47 a.m.; the next regular meeting is March 24, 2026.
