The Otoe County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on March 10 to approve regular and payroll claims totaling $890,777.85 and to authorize the chair to sign the Nebraska Department of Agriculture Reports & Requirements Summary for the Noxious Weed Program.
The board convened at 8:30 a.m. with Commissioner Jerad Sornson presiding. Commissioner Cole moved to accept the consent agenda; Commissioner Crownover seconded the motion, which passed with Commissioners Sornson, Freshman, Parsons, Crownover and Cole voting aye.
County Clerk Jennifer Bassinger presented detailed claims. The minutes record a Regular Claims Total of $537,175.34, Payroll Claims Total of $353,602.51, and a Grand Total of $890,777.85. Among larger individual items were a capital outlay payment to Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. of $326,095.49 and other service and supply payments to vendors listed in the claims register.
On a separate motion, Commissioner Cole moved and Commissioner Freshman seconded approval of the Reports & Requirements Summary for the Nebraska Department of Agriculture Noxious Weed Program and to authorize the chair to sign; the motion passed unanimously.
No public comment was offered during the meeting. The board adjourned at 8:47 a.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for March 24, 2026.
