Chamber and DHR announce volunteer and job events; commission adjourns

Public comment at the July 24 meeting included brief community announcements. Audrey Maxwell, Tourism Director for the Chamber of Commerce, asked for volunteers for the Woodstock 5K scheduled the following weekend. Jakob Williamson, the Chamber's public affairs coordinator, announced an election forum in Piedmont on July 31, 2025. Nikki Truss with the Alabama Department of Human Resources said there will be a job fair at the Anniston Meeting Center on Aug. 27, 2025.
Following announcements, Commissioner Shears moved to adjourn; Commissioner Henderson seconded, and the meeting adjourned at 10:29 a.m. The commission's next meeting was set for Aug. 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
