Crawford County approves consent agenda; motions signed for zoning, contracts and appointments

On motion 26-130, moved by Commissioner Carl Wood and seconded by Commissioner Bruce Blair, the board approved the consent agenda. The consent package included approval of the March 10, 2026 minutes and accounts payable warrant numbers 643948–644274 totaling $972,111.79. Commissioner Moody was absent.
County Clerk Lisa Lusker presented motions for signature that the board recorded as part of meeting business. The motions listed in the minutes included (motions as presented by the clerk): acceptance and rejection of provisional ballots and final results for the March 3 Frontenac sales tax special election (motions 26-119 and 26-120); adoption of Resolution #2026-010 to grant a zoning amendment to create "Whisper Estates" (26-121); appointment of Michelle Willis to the Crawford County Mental Health Governing Board (26-122); approval of the February 2026 clerk's report (26-123); payment to JT Construction in the amount of $69,391.83 for the clerk's storage building (26-124); authorization of a health department grant-application signature page (26-125); publication of a notice of hearing on proposed assessments for street improvements in Prairie View Estates with a hearing set for April 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM (26-126); lease-purchase agreement approval for a generator at the sheriff's department/jail with Labette Bank for 36 months totaling $96,375.00 (26-127); award of lawncare mowing to S&B Lawncare as the low bid (26-128); and a motion to recess into closed executive session to discuss non-elected personnel (26-129).
The minutes show the clerk presented the motions for signature; where votes are recorded the minutes list the mover, the second and the yeas; many of these actions were presented for signature rather than debated at length in open session.
Adjournment was moved by Commissioner Carl Wood, seconded by Commissioner Bruce Blair, and carried with the same recorded voting pattern (Commissioners Wood and Blair voting yes; Commissioner Moody absent).
