Chairman Gary Howell called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. and the committee moved quickly through routine business before opening a public hearing on the parks plan. Commissioner Greg Wise moved, with Commissioner C. Ian Kempf supporting, to recommend that the Regular Full Board accept the plan — developed jointly by Lapeer County with Elba, Goodland, Lapeer and Oregon townships and the City of Lapeer — and submit it to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for consideration; the motion carried.
