CRA highlights downtown events, Boca Street Fest and MLK Day activities

The chair noted a studio presentation "From Brooklyn to Boca" and a series of performances at the Funky Biscuit and Miser Park Amphitheater, including the Boca Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest. Staff also outlined Martin Luther King Jr. Day activities: an 8 a.m. breakfast at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, a unity march at 10 a.m. from the MLK Jr. Monument to the Miser Park Amphitheater and a 10:30 a.m. ceremony, followed by a family celebration with rides and performances. The chair said the city will host a free tree giveaway for Boca residents and the new Boca Street Fest on Jan. 25 in celebration of the city’s centennial.
Staff provided ticket and registration URLs during the announcements and encouraged residents to use the Boca Connect shuttle for downtown access. The announcements were informational; no board action was requested or taken.
