Commissioners approve BFJRA charter amendments, appoint Craig Cutchall and retain Keller Engineer, Inc.

Fulton County commissioners unanimously approved two resolutions amending the articles of incorporation for the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority and appointed a new member to the authority.
Representatives of the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority (BFJRA) — Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod — presented two proposed amendments. The board approved Resolution 9 of 2025 to increase the number of BFJRA board members and Resolution 10 of 2025 to authorize the authority to appoint police officers who would have the same rights as other Commonwealth police officers with respect to authority property. Following approval of the resolutions, commissioners appointed Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the authority with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027.
Separately, Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve an agreement to retain Keller Engineer, Inc. for the 2026 fiscal year; the board approved the agreement and scheduled the formal appointment for the Jan. 6, 2026 reorganizational meeting.
All motions on these items passed unanimously.
