Services for Children Director Christine McQuade requested the appointment and Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to hire Sheffield; the motion passed unanimously.
The board followed up with a Salary Board meeting at 11:00 a.m. to record and process the personnel action. Human Resources Administrator Mary Huston and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed were present for the personnel action and related paperwork. The minutes note that the hire is subject to standard clearance procedures before Sheffield assumes duties.
