Commissioners raised spectator safety concerns — particularly foul balls in front parking — and supported plans to evaluate backstop netting above fields and additional AED locations. One commissioner suggested the city install multiple AEDs because the park covers 26 acres; staff said an AED pedestal is planned between Fields 3 and 4 and recommended locating another in the proposed first‑aid/storage structure.
