Gage County — The Gage County Board of Equalization approved tax‑exemption slips for two vehicles owned by qualifying nonprofit organizations during a public hearing at 08:34 on Feb. 4.
The board approved exemption requests for a Honda CRV used by Blue Valley Behavioral Health Inc. for travel between counties and a 2023 Toyota Camry sedan used by Mosaic to transport people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The motion to approve was made by Lytle and seconded by Dorn and carried on a recorded vote of seven in favor.
Board members moved into a public hearing on the exemptions at 08:34 after a motion by Dorn and a second by Adams. The chair described the items as administrative and asked whether anyone from the public wished to speak; no members of the public rose to comment. The board then closed the hearing and voted to approve the exemptions.
The chair also noted a later correction to the meeting record: earlier vote and attendance counts announced during the meeting were adjusted before adjournment (see clarifying details). The board adjourned at 08:45.
Quote: The chair summarized the items presented as “a Honda CRV for traveling between counties and a Toyota Camry 2023 sedan for transporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
