Spencer County Fiscal Court voted on March 11 to approve payment of $20,000 to Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency, the county clerk's minutes show.
The court reviewed a November 18, 2025, letter from Jessica Aldridge, identified in the letter as Executive Director of Multi-Purpose, requesting half of a $40,000 appropriation previously allocated by the court to support programs serving low-income and senior residents. The letter said the funds would supplement services provided in Spencer County.
Esq. Cotton moved to approve the $20,000 payment; Esq. Stump seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote with all members present recorded as voting “aye” (one member, Esq. Travis, was absent for part of the meeting but his earlier absence had been approved). The minutes do not list any conditions on the disbursement.
The payment is recorded in the meeting minutes as an approved disbursement to the agency.
