"I think it probably is," staff said when asked whether the work would happen this year, adding the village doesn't yet have IDOT's timing.
Committee members also discussed an intersection improvement at Huntington and Higgins that staff said is scheduled for completion this year. "The intersection improvement ... that's scheduled to be completed this year," staff said, while cautioning that exact dates were not yet set.
Regarding Central Road (Barrington to Huntington), the committee noted this is a county-led project and staff said it is hoped to be bid this year; the exact start depends on the county's bidding schedule and IDOT coordination. Trustees and staff described the project as contingent on county processes rather than under direct village control.
The committee received and filed the Transportation Division monthly report and took no formal action beyond routine approvals and adjournment.
