Rod Michaud, Highway / Weed Administrator, told the Cloud County Board of Commissioners he will move forward to purchase a motor grader and accept a higher-quality bid for the Weed Department roof that increases the price by $1,162.50. Michaud said contractor Schilling will begin work on Noble Road late in the week and that tire bids for the highway department are due April 25.
Michaud also reported that four employees will attend training on the Distributor and that the board asked him to obtain an updated bid to extend pavement on Quail Road between 160th and 165th. No formal vote on the motor grader or the Quail Road pavement was recorded in the meeting minutes; the record shows Michaud will move forward with the roof replacement and pursue the requested bids.
The board did not provide a detailed funding breakdown for the grader purchase or a construction timetable in the record.
