Cloud County commissioners approve CDBG payment, adopt two resolutions and approve expenses

On a motion by Commissioner Copple and second by Commissioner Kearn, the board approved payment of CDBG funds totaling $5,168.49. The board also adopted Resolution 2025-07 to participate in the Rural Opportunity Zone student loan repayment program for calendar year 2025 and allocated $3,000 a year for a five-year term. Separately, the board approved Resolution 2025-08 to void a list of checks and warrants outstanding for two years totaling $31.39.
The board approved expenses totaling $157,879.43 across multiple county funds; the minutes include a fund-by-fund breakdown and note that the detailed expense list is available from the County Clerk’s office and public records webpage. Commissioners also approved abatements (2025-32 through 2025-36) and the Jan. 20 minutes before adjourning.
