Julie Willoughby, Rural Outreach Advocate for DVACK, presented two proclamations during the Jan. 13 meeting. On motions by Commissioner Ron Copple, seconded by Commissioner Dannie Kearn, the board unanimously proclaimed January 2025 as National Stalking Awareness Month and January 2025 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, commending victim-service providers, police officers, prosecutors, community organizations and private-sector supporters for anti-trafficking efforts.
The proclamations were adopted by unanimous voice vote and entered into the official proceedings recorded by the county clerk.
