Personnel actions approved by unanimous votes included re-hiring Perry Pearce as a seasonal Highway Department Equipment Operator (effective Jan. 22, 2026); a classification change for Ronald Buckland from Equipment Operator I (H5) to Equipment Operator II (I5) contingent on completing Road Scholar Level 1; hiring Carson Stansberry as Road Maintenance (F1) effective Feb. 2, 2026; and hiring Brandon Wilkerson as a Landfill Equipment Operator (H1) effective Jan. 27, 2026. The board also approved the January 19, 2026 minutes and adjourned at 12:58 p.m.
Financial actions recorded included approval of expenses totaling $599,791.02 across county funds (General Fund $298,981.88; Road & Bridge $148,927.72; Special Bridge $75,474.51; and other smaller funds). The board approved abatements 2026-007 through 2026-010 (net change of ($62.52) and a refund of $29.92). All recorded votes on these routine items were unanimous as noted in the meeting record.
