The Cloud County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 21 approved payroll and expense payments and recorded receipt of two Wind Farm grant requests.
The board approved payroll expenses totaling $187,205.76, with a later line-by-line breakdown in the minutes by fund (General Fund $97,514.07; Road & Bridge $49,976.31; County Health $20,172.57; others). Payroll deductions and benefits totaling $230,141.09 were also listed. Separately, the board approved expenses totaling $109,977.43 across multiple funds; the minutes state the full expense detail is available at the County Clerk’s office and on the clerk’s public records webpage.
The board approved abatements numbered 2025-40 through 2025-44 with a net change of -$321.12 and refunds totaling $310.62. Commissioner Ron Copple reported attending a Jamestown City Council meeting. The board approved the Feb. 10, 2025 minutes and adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
The minutes also record that the board received two Wind Farm grant requests: a county share of $41,113 toward a $105,519 City of Glasco fire-truck apparatus and body-box project to equip a new fire truck, and $9,000 toward a $9,977 irrigation and landscaping project at the National Orphan Train Museum. The record notes these requests were received but does not record board approval of either grant request in the Feb. 21 minutes.
